That's.... absurd.

Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Tatum seems to get a lot of bullshit techs
Obviously hanging on the rim is more disrespectful than Draymond Green screaming at the ref for 3 minutes straight
I can’t believe he would do that. There’s kids in the stands!
that’s so fucking stupid
Dude in the background vigorously signing for a tech is a tool
Do refs want players to intentionally collide with opponents instead of hanging on the rim? Because he pulled himself up to make sure he didn't kick Paolo in the head.
Penalizing players for actions taken to avoid the risk of injuring opponents is quite possibly the second worst thing refs can do, besides you know fixing games
"Why wouldn't he let go with all his forward momentum and injure himself" - the refs probably
Stupid tech. He had a lot of momentum and would’ve gotten hurt if he let go n
this isn't rocket science, every time i've seen this tech the player does a totally unnecessary pull up on the rim, and it's no different here. you can check your landing without the pull up
He didn't even do a pull up, he just raised his knees. This was an extremely weak call
Never liked these calls, but pretty sure it’s bc he pulled himself up a bit instead of just letting himself hang there. Same bullshit call happened to Jimmy last year
Literally 3 of these has been called on Bam this season. I don't see there difference in this clip they always call these.
This right here is my favorite thing. I love this. I LIVE for this. This is why I watch NBA basketball
Hanging on rim should not be a technical
Silver is a complete fucking bum for never doing anything about these atrocious refs
This call drives me fucking crazy. What is he supposed to do, fall on his back and hurt himself?
No, go flying into the Magic player and hurt both of them.
Similar call to the one on Jaxon Hayes earlier in the season. Its not egregious or show boating. Its literally just momentum lmao
Refs never been higher than 5 inches off the ground and it shows
Scott Foster on the court?
Good. No place for that sort of tomfoolery in my game. No hanging on the rim, two dribbles max, and nothing but nice crisp chest passes to move the ball
I literally hate the Celtics but Tatum gets the worst techs time and time again. No idea why him but it's always him.
Refs are correct here, he should’ve just gone flying upside down into the stanchion, or take paolo’s head off.
Thankful my kids won’t grow up to be unsportsmanlike pigs because of the heroic efforts of the refs.
Yeah the refs are becoming unhinged. Like come on how are they being allowed to do all this shit. Its becoming absurd.
Like would they rather him let go immediately and go flying face first into the seats?
Dude literally was already in moving motion to drop back on the floor. Did the regs want him to let go and drop on his back.
Jesus Christ silver needs to step in already
I'm watching the replay and there's no fucking way Tatum could've stopped hanging and landed safely. These potato head refs need to fuck off.
Completely fair to disagree with the rule, but doing the pull up has been given as a tech very consistently so far this year.
Pretty silly for Tatum to hit it anyway.
Im so proud of Tatum. He's no longer a one dimensional player. He's learned other ways to pick up a tech besides clapping his hands
This why I mostly only watch playoffs
Pretty sure they’re making it a point to call that this year, I’ve seen so many of these called already. Idk why tho, stupid whistle.
FTC but abolish this stupid ass rule. Let him hang on the rim as long as he wants, it hurts no one.
The Timberwolves have had this called on them numerous times this year. The broadcast said it is something along the lines of so nothing damages or bends the rim / stanchion and disrupts the game having to fix it. I get the premise behind calling it, but yeah it is lame.
I started getting into basketball last year (needed something to entertain me while soccer was not on lol). I have noticed these calls becoming more common during this season and they seem to be over nothing. Are referees following a new set of guidelines stablished over the off season? Seems like they are taking away a lot of what makes this sport great to watch.
The NBA is the hardest sport to enjoy because of the refs.
Haven’t been watching nba long, but the refs in this are almost as bad as PL soccer refs. Almost… nfl is by far better
Like what the fuck is he supposed to do? Immediately let go and slam his back and skull against the floor?
What the fuck is point of calling a tech for hanging on the rim?
What a weird ass point of emphasis this year. Did something prompt this?
It's not like they are Shawn Kemp-ing and grabbing their nuts on the rim.
The audacity to hold onto the rim for 2 seconds
Refs must have a new incentive program to up the number of techs for the season. Must have some sort of minimum to meet and get a bonus.
the nba is a dead sport for casuals
Seriously? He's hanging on to make sure he doesn't injure himself jfk we don't need slomo or replay to see that
It's getting out of hand with these fucking refs.
Do refs want players to fly 6 feet under the rim after they dunk the ball or something? Players hang onto the rim to protect themselves from landing on someone or with too much momentum for the most part...
Bro wtf
breh he "hung" on the rim to
- break his momentum
- check if there was anything beneath him
it was not to showboat please.
He should've done some actual pullups to deserve that
