Los Angeles Bulldogs were once proposed to enter the NFL back in 1936 but the Cleveland Rams (the LA Rams we know today) were chosen instead

we almost had the Seattle Kings back in 1972 before the Seahawks entered the league 4 years later

once the World Football League shut down there was talks about the Memphis Grizzlies (aka the Southmen) joining the NFL

Memphis Hound Dogs, Baltimore Bombers, & St. Louis Stallions were proposed in the 1990s but instead we got the Jacksonville Jaguars, & the Carolina Panthers

Are there anymore proposed franchise that almost happened but never occurred or is that all that we know of?

LA almost got an expansion team in the late 90’s but they couldn’t find an owner so Houston got a new franchise instead.

Remember when Jim Orthwein tried to move the Patriots to St. Louis, and become the St. Louis Stallions?

There's never been any talk of the Panthers moving. The London based owner of the Jags is on record of wanting to move them. Why do you think they've had NFL games over there for more than a decade and the Jags ALWAYS are one of the teams that plays there???
