It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Sorry for the rookie question; I just can’t find anything online to answer.

Smart lock upgrade - currently have this setup with a handle + single key deadbolt.

What system would I need to get? Most on the market are for deadbolt only - would I need to replace the entire handle and assembly? Or could there be a system for just the interior of the deadbolt mechanism and allow me to keep the door?

Thank you so much!

Without replacing everything August is your best bet

You will need to replace all of the door hardware with a smart deadbolt and a different handle.

Yes, but you’ll have to replace the whole set. Check out Yale

That would be simple to replace the whole setup. The space between the deadbolt and handle is just decorative. If you want to maintain that exact decorative look, you’ll want the August setup. If you’re fine replacing it all, any smart deadbolt will work, and then you can find that type of long handle in many designs.
