Love the reaction from the lady in green and pink at :46 saying "Daaaaaamn".

[–] Money-not_you_again@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Her reaction is hilarious

[–] Threeballer97@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Stupidest way I've ever seen this rule enforced.

[–] 2old4thishyte@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I love the face of the lady saying "Dayumm!"

[–] jawadhaque089@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The box score for this game is wild

[–] DirkNorizzki@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

“Excessive” Celebration: JAIL

Flopping & Take Fouls: crickets

[–] Standard_Landscape_6@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

These refs suck hanging on the rim and celebrating are not techs

[–] Archaeoptertrix@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The refs need to throw some T’s at these dickhead court designers, flagrant foul red card penalty box please we can’t let this go on! Get Scott foster out there and write on the court painted by CP3 my retinas are fucked

[–] DistractumSlacktus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Personally, I watch the NBA to admire the perfectly horizontal rims, and I'm glad those distracting players get punished for disturbing the hoop.

[–] Nightmannn@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

All refs are bad

[–] purplebrown_updown@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I really hate these colors for the court. What the hell were they thinking?

[–] Deepthroat_ipa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Why is this a point of emphasis this year!? Maybe a point of emphasis should be on referee performance, not on players hanging on the rim for a split second.

[–] hickok3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

In the finals Bam hung on the rim on a missed dunk and it moved the rim off center. It resulted in a fairly long delay, so maybe the NBA is trying to hedge against that happening again?

[–] Deepthroat_ipa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Idk I doubt that one anomaly is the reason.

[–] Pitiful_Soup_6857@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It happened a few times last season and it’s always a pain in the ass to fix. I’m pretty sure there was a game in Denver that had like a 40 minute delay.

[–] Far-Blacksmith-2604@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Horrible call, he only did that to balance himself.

[–] The_Rhyne@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

At least its for a “pull-up” instead of “hanging on the rim” this time, but that’s just soft man.

[–] redpanda5890@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ok, that’s not as bad as some T’s for hanging on the rim that I ve seen lately. Still wouldn’t call this excessive by any means… I hate the way they are enforcing this rule

[–] paltrysquanto27@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah go ahead and put all that strain on your shoulders

[–] bluecognito@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

A Golden State player did the exact same thing on the literal opening score of the game and didn’t get T’d. Not making it up ya’ll can watch the highlights when they’re posted

[–] 4MC@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Could players go on strike to force the officials to reform? They’re literally making the game less enjoyable for the players and spectators. This season is really entertaining with the mid season tournaments and everyone playing hard out the gate but I’ve turned off a few games out of frustration. Looking at you Scott Foster.

Baby Jokic coming into his own

[–] gaby_zarny@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

that red floor feels like they're playing on a green screen

[–] NoChanceNoProblem@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Can we stop calling this dumb ass rule. This insn't 1997 with pooly constucted glass backboards, and not everyone is shaq trying to rip down the hoop. Good lord talking about killing great dunks.

[–] frozteh@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The funniest thing about this being emphasized is like, who TF asked for this? Not the fans? Not the coaches? Like was there a sizeable uptick in fights because a guy did a pull up on a rim? It's such an arbitrarily stupid thing to enforce when there literally isn't any point of it and could cause more injuries if players didn't do it.

[–] Nutholsters@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It delayed a game one time to fix the rim. That’s it.

[–] trianglesaurus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Refs fans eating good

[–] CoontaKinte@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Does the nba understand these types of "pullups" are to help stop momentum?

It's more wild to me that they call this bs tech more consistently than when a player slaps the backboard....

[–] Happy295@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Taking all the fun out of the game.

[–] -HeisenBird-@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

1-point dunks are my favorite plays in basketball.

[–] kaiseresc@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Refs can't dunk and don't know what it entails. Fuck outta here with these techs.

[–] BackendSpecialist@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Refs soft af man

[–] BumbleLapse@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why didn’t the player stop their momentum and immediately release from the rim?

Are they stupid?

[–] Nutholsters@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Honestly the players should have a meeting and just agree to airball and insuring technical fouls. Fuck this stupid ass shit. They’ve ruined the NBA man.

[–] The_Mootz_Pallucci@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Adam Bronze: lets up the ante and have an in season tournament

Also Adam: dont tell the players that refs have tech quotas

[–] Tremor0135@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is getting so ridiculous. Let them hang for eternity for fucks sake. It is cool, safer to land and if he hangs to long other team can push for 4v5 anyway.

Fucking refs and their need to be in spotlight.

[–] Bildad__@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Good T, the league definitely needs to get this kind of trash out of the game. This type of behavior is at the top of the list of things wrong with the NBA product.

[–] KJTB@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The techs this year are so goddamn lame dude. The NBA is ENTERTAINMENT, this shit is ENTERTAINING. Why make the product worse for the viewer?

[–] cheshire_bodega_cat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We live in a society

[–] Maliciousdawg12@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Well deserved tech, sengun should’ve used that momentum to do a backflip off the rim instead of hanging on to stop momentum /s
