Yes, but the Nuggets needed to win this game to stay in contention anyway. Point differential doesn't matter to them anymore in a loss.

That is why I was surprised they were fighting until the end.

The Nuggets did start to comeback a couple times but I was still surprised they had Jokic fight until the end when he has to be worn out after the last few games.

I was pretty like oh shit when this game started since Jokic was in MVP form but then the Rockets went on a 13-0 run.

[–] 3rdEyeDeuteranopia@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

This is the reason.

People kept talking about it in other unrelated threads or making Thunder related threads to discuss it. This just keeps things in one place so if people don't want to hear about the topic, they can just hide this thread and not have to read about it.

The Ringer NBA rankings just downgraded Alperen Sengun from #93 down to #97 so he can't be that good.

TLDR: Knicks argue that Adam Silver cannot fairly oversee arbitration as a Raptors’ minority owner currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Governors. Knicks are also seeking over $10 million in damages and the league process caps at 10.

Knicks have filed response in lawsuit vs Raptors. They argue that NBA commissioner Adam Silver shouldn’t be the person to arbitrate the disagreement between the teams. Statement from MSG Sports spokesperson: “We were the victim of a theft of proprietary and confidential files, which is a clear violation of criminal and civil law, and we remain confident that the Court will decide in our favor in this matter.”

In filing, Knicks argue that alleged intellectual property theft by a ex-employee currently w/TOR falls outside the purview of the NBA constitution. They compel the court to not send case to an arbiter. They cite Adam Silver’s previous deferral to the court to decide the matter

In Knicks' response to Raptors, NYK lawyers write that they intend to prove in trial that damages related to the alleged intellectual property theft exceed $10 million. The penalty Adam Silver can levy a team is capped at $10 million, per the NBA Constitution.

In argument against arbitration in their dispute vs. TOR, NYK lawyers write that 'a Raptors’ minority owner currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Governors, which is the head of the body that hired (and can fire) the Commissioner and sets his annual compensation.'

I've been a big Saddiq Bey fan since 2021 when I was watching different rookies play when trying to build arguments for why Jae'Sean Tate should be All Rookie First Team. My conclusion on Bey was that he did the things winning players do and there was no argument against him really.

I was really surprised when the Pistons traded him.

David Stern suspended Sebastian Telfair two games for bringing a gun on a team plane and 3 games for being guilty of criminal possession of a weapon.

Ja's suspension was a lot higher, despite not being criminally charged like Telfair, because he's a higher profile player and it made the league look bad.

Draymond is a high profile player too and what he did also made the league look bad.

People's views on this really just matter on if they dislike Ja or Draymond.
