Sacrificed his career to come off the bench for a sub 500 team, feels bad man

Have you watched Westbrook play for the past 4 years?

There's a reason he's on a minimum contract.

[–] Dat_one_lad@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (4 children)

Nah, he's the reason they didn't need Harden. He's the heart and soul of the team, the leader and he's also just a great player. He plays so hard and is so unselfish he almost can't have a bad game

Are you trolling or just dumb?

Since 2019-20 there have been 44 players that have played 150 games and taken 15+ shots per game.

Westbrook is 44th in TS% at a horrific 51.3%

How’d you find the stats to back your argument so quickly?

[–] MrThreebound@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Basketball Reference

[–] cloudy_ft@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

This guy the type of loser who stay hating on people 24/7. A miserable life to be on here being negative as hell.

Just read his comment history lmao. Misery loves company.

[–] MrThreebound@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

Facts =/= Hate

I don’t have anything against him as a person. He’s just not good anymore.

[–] Paralta@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Did you watch him on the lakers? Dude had bad games basically every night he was there lmao

[–] RoyalParadise61@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

[–] Balls_of_Adamanthium@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Russell BenchBrook

[–] I_give_free_Dopamine@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Just needs to find his groove

[–] samueladams6@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

He’s been searching since 2018

[–] LongjumpAdhesiveness@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

He was the back-to-back league assist leader and averaged a triple-double for the 3rd season in a row that year.

People here know nothing about basketball and I'm fairly certain don't even like it. Just come to shit on people far more successful than them.

[–] samueladams6@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Oh wow, a triple double?!?! Must have scored real efficiently to do that!

[–] Auditsocks@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Got to be a confidence hit, he seemed to be really enjoying the start to the season, felt like a serious mood shift for those first few games harden was here.

[–] RickySuela@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

You mean for the 10 games since Harden started playing?

[–] Dirty0ldMan@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I mean they brought in Harden who basically plays the same position as him. Not exactly a vote of confidence in Russ.

[–] the_figureh3ad@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

hes not the system

[–] Wavepops@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Russ is on the extreme end of being a rhythm guy, so not surprised at all. Nba didn’t let guys take 20 secs to shoot free throws and it tanked his ft percentage. He’s not a guy who will play 7-8 mins stints and look like himself

[–] livefreeordont@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The problem is if you have Russ playing 35 minutes a game your team is going to suck

[–] Wavepops@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

The clippers have enough shooting around him where that wasn’t the case. But with this new roster yea it’s impossible

[–] gamer15807@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

where are you, MITWestbrook? We need your help!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭

[–] LookADonCheech@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

How do we interpret these stats as a positive???? Helpppp

[–] Single_Minute2829@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

So this is Hardens fault? /s

[–] Goatbeerdog@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Only trust him to score at the rim. Lost abit of his explosiveness due to old age. Player who doesnt age well. Send him to China

[–] Righteous_Neutrality@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

He was the reason we lost last night.

He continues to bring him man into the oaint EVERY game by crashing to the rim. Every time Russ is in the game he does a great job disrupting our offense by introducing defenders to the paint. Then when he is on the arc he is consistently ignored, and for some reason he won't stop that shit ass quick jumpshot, and he's struggling to finish ar the rim because he won't accept his athletic ability has diminished.

Super frustrating. He cost of the lead and Lue let that bad run with Russ go on for too long.

[–] Room_Temp_Coffee@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

If you don't want Russ in the paint then why even put him on the court?

[–] Righteous_Neutrality@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

He is crashing the paint without the ball on a team that prefers to work within 15-18 feet of the basket. He is bringing his defender into the paint and leaving him there this disrupting our offense.

With the ball in his hands, it makes sense and even then his current athletic ability is not allowing him to be as explosive as he once was.

[–] iunrealx1995@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

He’s been completely washed for many years now. Literally just surviving off his name at this point. It’s sad but happens to every player eventually.

[–] ImFriendsWithThatGuy@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I almost feel like some of the greatest athletes of all time are considered that because they left on a high note and didn’t just refuse to leave as they got so bad they were below average players in almost every way.

[–] chloroform42@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Lakers wide vagina energy

[–] blacklegsanji27@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Where is MITWestbrick when you need him
