Players REALLY need to get over this one. If the game is lost it doesn’t matter if they shoot or not, so just ignore it. It makes them sound like such whiny little kids every time this happens.

When your franchise player is zach lavine therr is a reason your team sucks. He's no better than a 3rd fiddle microwave scorer on a contender and given his defensive liability probably would even be in your finishing lineup.

Nobody in European basketball cares about this unwritten rule. Why is it such a big deal to certain NBA players? I would say most of us fans really don't care about it either.

If I was an NBA Coach, I would tell my players to play until the buzzer no matter what. The unwritten rule shit is so dumb.
It's because he is on the team that needs to completely blow it up tank and start over more than any other.

This whole "respect the losing team, you've won the game, so stop shooting and let the clock run out" is getting so tiresome with these millionaire crybabies, as if the other team scoring again is some big insult to you and the game.
You put yourself in this situation of being about to lose, so suck it up, respect the game, and play defence until the clock runs out. Nobody is trying to make you look bad by scoring on you again, you made yourself look bad by not playing well enough to win. It's sports. Play the fucking sport and stop bitching and moaning.
