One of those wins coming prior to the Harden trade against the Rockets. After the Harden team, they've beat the Orlando Magic and lost to the Lakers Knicks and Mavs.

The clippers record speaks for itself but they are not preying on under .500 teams either. Their record against sub .500 teams is 4-3.

This is a very bad team that has had an easy schedule so far with Harden, playing the tanking spurs back to back just recently.

It wouldn't be a stretch to assume they'll be a lottery team.

Lakers fans repeatedly say they don’t care about the regular season. The playoffs, according to them, are the only thing that matters…

…except when you talk about the Clippers regular season. The first 15 games of the regular season are critical and should be discussed…as much as possible.

If the Clippers don't pick up the pace though, they won't even make the playoffs at all. If the season ended now they'd miss the play-in. The West is too deep to be digging this kind of a hole early on, especially with the Clippers schedule from now until Christmas:

  • Dallas Mavericks

  • Denver Nuggets

  • @ Sacramento Kings

  • @ Golden State Warriors

  • Golden State Warriors

  • Portland Trail Blazers

  • Sacramento Kings

  • Golden State Warriors

  • New York Knicks

  • @ Indiana Pacers

  • @ Dallas Mavericks

  • @ Oklahoma City Thunder

  • Boston Celtics

They could very easily go something like 5-8 (or worse) in that stretch and be sitting at around 11-16 (or worse) by then. With every loss, their margin for error gets smaller and smaller. The play-in has not been kind to them, and they haven't been a good road playoff team. Seeding is going to matter a lot for them (assuming they make it).

I am well aware. We are all well aware. We are hoping for some miracle run that we know won’t happen…but could have happened with this crew five years ago…

Sorry, this was in response to you saying that only the playoffs matter. I was just responding to your above comment. If you seem to be aware of this, then you apparently understand the importance of the regular season.

Read my comment again. I said that Lakers fans only think the playoffs matter and that is the calling card for Lakers fans.

if only they could play every game against the spurs, a team that absolutely refuses to let you lose

B2B against the spurs would be a good chance to reset the season and start a new stretch of winning basketball, but the clippers just aren't that good

the elephant in the room is that kawhi leonard does not look particularly good.. he is not moving well and looks maybe injured or that the injuries over time have sapped his athleticism

westbrook.. kinda stinks. harden looks OK doing PNR with zubac but outside of that.. kinda stinks

paul george is decent but disappeared for most of the 2nd half yesterday. clippers can't afford that and who knows if PG can really carry a big usage load all season and end up with a decent seed

agreed. imagine playing a B2B against the spurs, with both games at home, and not even managing to win ONE of those games. would be embarassing tbh

Suns are even worse at 1-4

Wait until you go back and watch the lakers so far this season, lol

Thanks for your concern, Lakers fan!

The magic win was after the harden trade but before he started playing. Rockets win was after the trade because Harden hit the game winner. Not a great start with harden but way too early to be making conclusions imo. We should have a better idea of how good they are by the midpoint of the season.

Huh. The Clippers beat the rockets on a game winner by harden.
