This is why most of the world literally laughs about the US. Civilized countries have long removed finance from the worries you have when getting into an accident.

Vote against perscription only drug laws, vote against medical cartels, vote for public funding of healthcare. Make them pay some of those taxes back to us!

Yeah, normally this meme wouldn't be about life-changing consequences to ones personal finances but about life-changing consequences on someones body due to a medical emergency.

I've noticed that a significant majority of makers on YouTube that I watch are Canadian. It's easier to bootstrap a channel when you don't have to pay out of pocket for insurance or emergency care. Americans won't take that risk so they start channels while they have another job and most don't make it to a sustainable size to quit the regular job.
