I live for a utopian future where "social media" is just everyone's blog posts being distributed via RSS and if anyone wants to leave a like or comment they have to pick up the phone and call me.

The Internet should come to me rather than the other way around :D
I envision social media where people's cell phones are the servers so we don't have to deal with corporate bullshit. If people want updates, request the RSS every 6 hour. No one needs to know what the hell I am doing every moment of my life.
Better to run a server so your battery doesn't die.
