Westbrook was never one of my favorite players during most of his prime, but seeing how Westbrook has handled his last few years helped me gain a lot of respect for him.

Sure he never was the lead guy on a championship team, but his competitiveness is amazing. He played his best through all the Lakers drama. Westbrook also put up 37 in a playoff game in the most recent playoffs. I'm quite a huge fan of this late-career Westbrook.

Kobe - when I first started following the NBA as a kid, Kobe was the player I liked to root against. Near the end of his career I had nothing but love for him.

I used to think Ayton was going to be next star big man two seasons into his career.

Harden , I thought he was a good player and that teams were lucky to have him . Now, well, you all know

Kyrie Fucking Irving, obvious

I feel dumb AF for even feeling like I know these guys even slightly, but Gobert no generally seems actually pretty thoughtful and sincere to me

Chris Paul I guess, just because he was a consummate professional during his time in OKC; really embraced the veteran/mentor role especially with Shai. I’m kind of indifferent toward him now that he’s gone, but I gained some respect for him in certain ways and don’t dislike him like I did before the trade

I know what KG's answer is.

Darius garland. During his first season I thought the caves wasted their pick.

LeBron, I just kind of began to admire his commitment to what basketball is

Kyrie was my favorite player from the draft till he left Cleveland (not named LeBron). Then, well, gestures at everything he’s done in the last 5 years. He’ll always be legendary for the shot, but I do not care about him at all now.

Miles Bridges. Loves his game and best dunker in league imo. I even paid $1500 for a Topshot moment of his that’s now worth $30. Turns out he’s a “shit bloke” as the Aussies like to say.

Kobe, loved him for his competitiveness and passion. But as the years passed and more podcast stories I hear, I just think he was an asshole

Durant.

I thought he was going to be bullied out of the league.

I was wrong.

Paul Pierce. As a Raptors fan I despised him. Especially during that big 3 era. He talked so much trash but he backed it up.

It was also very frustrating to watch him move so slow yet get off shots so effectively.

Now I look back and appreciate how talented he was as a player.
