There are villains in all walks of life. Most people would rather avoid being one. Then there's Draymond Green...

[–] connie-lingus38@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

yeah of course not he thinks sneaking up behind gobert and chocking him out makes him look tough.

Dude snuck Jordan Poole.

You know dray was the dude who was always looking to jump in the fight to sneak someone. Not the one to do it just jump in

[–] Dr-McLuvin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Dude should have been suspended for way longer.

Draymond Green? Regretting his actions?

That's a good one

[–] sylsau@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Green will do it again and again.

He becomes a caricature of the player he was.

Before, he was in the Top 3 of the best defenders in the league. Today, just a Top 15. He will age badly and we can expect him to multiply these behaviors which only express his frustration at no longer being the player he was defensively and no longer being able to weigh so much on a match.

What a dickhead.

[–] livejamie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Warriors fan posting this is unexpected

[–] Baconmazing@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Draymond is insufferable.

Basketball is my favorite to sport to watch and has always been one of my favorite to play. But i grew up playing hockey more than anything else, so hopefully that explains the anger in the comments I'm about to make... I'm sure this opinion will be unpopular regardless:

Every top rated comment here is something along the lines of "he should be suspended more so he learns a lesson" or "he should be suspended more cuz of these comments" or "nothing will work besides a lifetime ban but the league would never do that".... Additionally, in other posts about him, ppl have made comments about "He's putting players in the danger, the league needs to stand up and actually do something!!!"

Look, Dray is an asshole. He's pissed me off repeatedly along with the rest of you. But acting like he is a danger to other players and that he should be suspended for 10+ games cuz he put something in a chokehold is crazy. NAME A SINGLE PLAYER WHO WAS ACTUALLY INJURED BY A MALICIOUS IN-GAME ATTACK FROM DRAYMOND GREEN!! Go ahead, I'll wait.

He's an ass and he's violent and he wont learn his lesson. That doesn't mean he needs to be kicked out of the league. How fucking soft has everyone gotten? Also this herd mentality shit where it seems like everyone either decides they like or dont likes players at the same fucking time on this subreddit is beginning to really annoy me. I feel like there used to be discourse, a mix of opinions, acceptance of nuance, etc. Can we not agree he has some redeeming qualities? We used to love him on this sub and nbadiscussion for his hustle, tenacity, winning plays that dont show on the stat sheet, etc. I agree he has started to become more of a burden than a benefit to the Warriors but is there no nuance left in the world? Jeez man.

He got a pretty fair punishment.

Latrell Sprewell got suspended for nearly an entire season for choking his coach in practice.

Draymond Green choked another player on broadcast television and dragged him by the neck for 10 seconds, and got 5 games, and he's out here saying he doesn't regret his actions.

[–] ej_stephens@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'd suspend him a game just for saying that. Adam sliver is letting this guy tarnish the leagues reputation

[–] shreks_burner@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Based. I wouldn’t regret it either

[–] Sure_Station9370@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Suspend his ass again

[–] Vect0rSigma@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

A lot of players and former players have been enabling his actions the last few weeks. Shaq, PG13's podcast, Gilbert Arenas, literally all cheering for him "choke the french out of him!". Shaq saying "good job Draymond" on live television.
Coming with the "grab your teammate" excuse, while it's just a made-up unwritten rule.
I'm positive they would have reacted different if it was an other player than Gobert.
I always took the Gobert hate as some runing joke, but apparently, it's not just people joking.

A lot of players have been probably backing him up behind closed door too, so of course it doesn't help if his peers enable his behaviour.

[–] FateRiddle@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not surprising. Dray is enabled so much by the team and coach Kerr, he probably doesn't feel sorry for anything ever. The nut kicking, the chest stomping, the punch, the bonehead plays then telling KD to fk off, all these Ts, the inability to shoot, the controversial daily podcast updates during playoffs, missing games in finals because he got too many Ts, the reputation he built up, the "I'm so tired of Draymond's shit" comment from even Kerr... Yeah, I'm 100% sure he's not apologetic for anything he's done, he probably think he's still so much loved among fans.

[–] porpoiseslayer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nor should he - Gobert had his arm around Klay’s neck and Draymond expertly removed him from the situation

[–] arebee20@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Draymond should be absolutely ashamed of his actions… that choke was completely terrible technique

[–] Fdorleans@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This is exactly why 5 games were not enough. Unless this idiot loses a whole season of salary he won't learn anything. He's just like a kid that doesn't learn.

[–] tiddertikcus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I can't ever read news about this guy without hearing Dave Chappelle's voice in my head saying "Draymond Green is the blackest name you'll ever hear"

[–] IndyPoker979@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The dude is the least self-aware person in the NBA. Of course, he doesn't regret it. He thinks he's the most important person in the Warriors organization. Let that sink in.

[–] BadAzztec@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Typical dumbass donkey still not learning, thats what the rod is for. Give it to him Adam!

[–] Embarrassed_Emu56@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Narcissistic behavior

[–] peanutbutterbeef@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Typical L behavior from Donkey

[–] Wesley-Snipers@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Keep him suspended until he does

[–] Jaded_Release2380@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Of course not. He's a piece of shit.

[–] cohonan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s letting everyone know he’s going to do it again. The game has gotten bigger and he’s just gotten older and it has passed him by. Being a disrupter is the only thing he has left, and playing nice is career suicide.

[–] WiSoSirius@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

According to Gobert, he could have been in real danger if Green knew how to choke a person.

[–] OdysseusParadox@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ah... how about Jordan Poole? This guys a few steps away from starting as rapper and then changing his name...hoping everyone will forget.

[–] ShakesbeerMe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Suspend him again. Fuck this dude.

[–] MyLadySansa@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
