About damn time. The tariff should have never been 100%....just because that's what the US did. Now they can still leave a tariff of say 20% and it would still force the other EV makers to start making more affordable options for Canadians.
I'm not seeing many Canadian (consumer) EV companies. Really just AXL, that has a single generic SUV/crossover that doesn't look like it's shipping yet.
It's protectionism. Protecting the US industry.
