Is there a simple way to turn this into a persistent notepad among all computers? So if I access this on my phone it shows the same as what was on my computer?

Have you considered silverbullet? the documentation uses silverbullet, and is editable (but not persistent) so you can test how it feels

I replaced memos + markdown file editing with silverbullet some months back and I use it more and more. It has optional offline support
