That episode is so underrated. I was rewatching it on Comedy Central last night and it’s hysterical. Unfortunately, I happened to be watching it with someone who doesn’t understand dark humor or just plain doesn’t have a sense of humor. They kept saying things like how is that funny??. How can you make light of such an issue?? Blah blah blah.

RELAX, it’s comedy ffs , a cartoon! If it were real life of course it would not even be remotely funny. Part of South Park’s appeal is how they make light of serious situations in the funniest way possible and say things no one would dare say. There is a reason it’s so popular. The creativity is on point and it always stays relevant.

Oh and I also really enjoyed the Vaccine Episode, it was highly inappropriate and I loved it.

I feel bad for Kenny’s dad after watching the ending

I thoroughly enjoyed the Kenny trying to stop his parents bringing another child into their already struggling household subplot

Is that the one where he’s alternating puking, shitting and shooting blood out of his nose?

The John Denver Experience had to teach me who John Denver was

This episode is funny af!

I actually discovered recently that NAMBLA is a real thing though. I always just thought it was something in South Park. Nope, something that insane actually exists. Bummed me right out. Glad South Park shit on them.

Honestly, surprised that this episode hasn't been banned.

But sure, calling Tom Cruise a fudge packer is cOnTrOvErSiAl

You mean North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes?

[–] lgramlich13@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Trey and Matt are the masters of satire, and viewers should understand this. (I mean, it's pretty clear, isn't it?)

North American Marlon Brando Look Alikes!

Mr. Garrison: oh darn it I'm in the wrong room!

[–] Ntippit@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I hope that someone isn't a friend. I wouldn't be able to stand 10 minutes with a person like that.

I dated a girl who didn’t like young Frankenstein because she interpreted the sex scene as a rape scene and I said listen missy just get back in the house and knit me a sweater

Making fun of NAMBLA also brings light to the actual horrible organization. Joking about something doesn’t endorse it.

It was way ahead of its time

People can't differentiate and default to the safety of saying this is offensive. That episode is one of the best.

[–] oicofficial@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I mean this episode made me aware that NAMBLA is a real thing, which was about as horrifying as learning ‘Honey Boo Boo’ and Toddlers in Tiaras’ existed.

What the fuck is wrong with the world, seriously; ugh.

[–] Boner_Patrol_007@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Favorite part is when the cops say “we’ve got the wrong NAMBLA.” and Garrison goes, “ah dammit, I’m in the wrong place.”

[–] cbunni666@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I can see people being put off from the episode. Pedos suck. But ngl I found the episode funny. But seriously FUCK NAMBLA AND MAPS

[–] otiscleancheeks@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

NAMBLA is a real organization.

old episodes are underrated

Honestly, the episode does handle very dark subject matter, but it handles it so well. I love that one.

[–] Mission_Pangolin_810@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I love this episode, my friend and I would always quote the game at the beginning.

"Hello, I'm Bill Kurtis. Many believe the US government......covered it up. I'm Bill Kurtis."
