I visited my folks several years ago (2018?) and brought some books with me for my Dad to read, and he presented me with this book. He got pretty emotional describing it. After reading it, it was the first time I realized that my Dad was struggling. It was a great book, but will forever be tied to my understanding of Dad's mental health. He isn't Ove, but Mom has had a physical decline and he is similarly non social and has difficulty asking for help. Haven't been able to watch the movie.

I recommend the original Swedish movie, it's quite good.
I thought the movie was great. I don’t have an issue with product placement and if I recall wasn’t Otto teaching someone how to drive?
