Hey guys looking to purchase a Tudor Pelagos off of Chrono 24 however I will be purchasing from a private seller and I spoke to Chrono24 and they said that they cannot hold the money in escrow or verify the authentication of the product. So now I’m kind of wondering if the guy is just gonna take the money and runoff do you guys recommend I pay with PayPal? Any tips/ comments are greatly appreciated! Thank you

As a general rule you buy the seller over the watch. I'm sure you're getting a sweet deal but I've only bought from Dealer's off Chrono24. The dispute process is lengthy and can tie up your funds for weeks. If you do go through with it, video the package completely sealed and you opening it. I would also recommend you have the ability, or know someone, who can verify a legit Pelagos. You do have time to return products that don't match the description but again, the process is long.

Huh usually the escrow works even for private sellers. If it doesn't then I would also worry about the seller trying to scam you 😅

Go ebay. They send to a third-party authenticator who then sends to you if it is legit. They hold the money until you get the watch. Not full proof, but very helpful.
