Rudy is playing out of his skull this year and is well on the way to another DPOY award. This trade just keeps looking better and better

Basically, it is Rudy, Bam, and Giannis in the league that can do this to him. Chet just needs reps against the real horse, a 5'9 coach holding two brooms isn't the same.

Don't you ever question what this man can do on Defense, guy is a defensive fortress by himself

[–] ServeRealistic7563@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Two good looks and a pass to an open defender… where’s the defense?

[–] theroguesoybean@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Holmgren is great... but that was definitely a "welcome to the league" moment

Jazz had number one seed with Rudy Gobert. Wolves were garbage. Traded for Rudy Gobert. Now wolves are number one seed. Jazz are garbage. Anyone see a correlation here?

Please somebody who doesn’t actually watch games tell me one more time how Rudy gets played off the floor in the playoffs and his defense actually isn’t that good.

Chet needs about 4 more inches to win that matchup

Dray thinks hes a better defender than this?

“Defensive player of the year is hyped he shut down a rookie in his 15th game”

I don’t blame him for getting hyped but he should be doing that. It’d be like prime Steph curry celebrating that he made a 3 over rookie year Luka.

The title undersells this. It's not just shutting down a rookie

He went from defending a corner shooter to being a rim protector to backside helper to midrange contester in the span of 10 seconds. He guarded multiple players on the perimeter AND in the paint all by himself within 1 possession.

I've watched basketball for a long time, and I can't remember the last time I've seen a guy guard multiple players all over the court all by himself.

If theres anyone i respect more this season coming out of last season, its Rudy Gobert. Love the defensive intensity. EVERY. SINGLE. GAME.

i’ll always think rudy is the most overrated player in the history of the nba, and draymond confirmed it

[–] Art-RJS@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s awesome

[–] ComedianAwkward2080@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I will say, in the paint Gobert can do this.

[–] 24hrBrunch@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He also spent about 6 seconds in the lane.

[–] electricman1999@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He kept his hand up almost the entire time he was guarding him. Sometimes that’s all it takes.
