Hello all,

I made a post about this a while back but still haven’t found a solution. I want to travel full time, but I have an autoimmune disorder that means every eight weeks I will have to receive an infusion of my medication (an expensive biologic called Infliximab).

I’m currently in Japan, and a GI office I reached out to quoted me roughly 2.6K USD for one treatment. I even reached out to a clinic in Bangkok, Thailand to see if it would be cheaper, and they quoted me 1.5K USD for one treatment.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? This is not a medication I can easily stockpile and take with me. Is my only solution to fly back to the US every eight weeks for a treatment? Or to find a country to set up residency and receive healthcare?

Any tips and information on this topic would be appreciated.

The price for Thailand seems quite high to me. I may be wrong but I would recommend calling pharmacies there as opposed to clinics. Good luck.
