Are there any feasible options to optimise sound for people with impaired hearing in one ear? This is a genetic thing I've had since I was a child but basically my left ear is completly trash (I have to almost max out volume in my left earbud if in order to comprehend conversational audio), -20 to -25 db in mids and highs and lower loss in bass.

Has anyone with similar poor hearing in one ear been able to find a solution to normalise the sound when wearing overhead headphones? My brain somewhat does this automatically but any sounds from the left side are still lacking imaging and detail obviously. This is most evident in gaming as I can't tell where an enemy is if they're on my left side, but it's also noticeable in music too.

Any tips and advice are appreciated, and no I don't just crank up the volume.
