I'm 100% remote worker, and I'd like to spend next year traveling internationally. While my company has signed on to remote work, and hasn't expressly forbidden my doing so from outside the US, they would be likely to forbid it if I asked, due to tax implications, precedent, being a really conservative organization, etc. So I'd like to just not mention it. I plan to keep my address in the US and not stay anywhere long enough there are tax implications (using just tourist visas).

From a technical perspective, do all I really need is a VPN? Any concerns about the VPN working with Citrix? Are there other steps to take? Was also planning on only going to places known for reliable internet and also having Starlink. I generally have about 10 hours of Webex/Zoom per week, so internet reliability is a main concern. Probably going to stay mostly in North/Latin America due to work time zones, but may try shorter stints elsewhere. Other legal concerns I should think of?

I had trouble logging into Citrix for a client while was I using Mulvad VPN on my own device. It worked once, no problem, but then subsequent times, it didn't work. This was done while I was at my home address, so I just switched the vpn off and no problem.

If I have to access it again, I'll try with wire guard to my brume 2 vpn server. Unfortunately, I didn't have that to test last time I had to access it.

Other legal concerns I should think of?

Getting sued by your employer for misrepresentation, fraudulent inducement, and making them liable for foreign payroll taxes? That would be my biggest worry.
