Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Switching from rings to a word is tragic

If I understand correctly, they launched AUDI as a separate brand. Audi (with lowercase udi) isn't affected. Anyhow, a weird choice from my perspective.

Can have AUDI?

We have AUDI at home.

At home: ALDI

The scramble for an Aldi Finds: EV would be legendary

Isn't Audi charging subscriptions for heated seats and stuff?

[–] MrMakabar@slrpnk.net 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

This is not Audi, but AUDI, which is a joined venture between FAW Volkswagen and SAIC. Obviously FAW Volkswagen is partly owned by Audi and sells cars under the Audi brand in China, which is not the new joined venture AUDI. So AUDI is not the brand selling heated seats and stuff, but Audi is, which partly owns AUDI.

Got it? And yes this is really stupid.

Thanks for the laugh.

Not if you know the right people.

Disclaimer: I actually don't know either way, but there used to be ways to jailbreak cars and enable missing software. And considering how bad traditional car makers are with software that is probably still the case.

Or just bypass via hardware. Doubt they'd currently be using anything too fancy to warm up seats.

That's a very pretty car.
