It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Hello, I have a lamp that has a digital switch with different light modes that defaults to OFF when unplugged. I would like to know if there's any smart plug available that might help me schedule this lamp and still keep the different light modes.

I had some smart plugs at home that did not work because they simply stopped current and that set the lamp to off without turning it on automatically.

Rewire your lamp to bypass the digital switch.

Switchbot is likely your best bet.

Is it possible to change the bulb? Or does the lamp have an app that you can control what happens when it goes back on? Kasa bulbs have a "when turned on from power/switch) setting so that if i do accidentally flip the wall switch for the outlet they are attached to, they're programming doesn't get messed up.
