A while back, maybe a year or two I made a small 3D printed product that was pretty much first to market. I started selling it on Etsy, I thought I might try and expand into retail but didn't have the drive to do so. I have only made about $350 in profit after cost of goods and other stuff.

The killer is that a national big name company created the same product as mine, when that happened my sales basically dried up. I don't have a patent, I decided in the beginning it wasn't worth it and accept the outcome.

I am almost out of stock, I'm trying to decide if I just say I have had my fun and move on or if I spend some more money to restock. It is neat when they sell, I hope people like them, and money is money. But it doesn't do much for me at the moment so just wanted to get some opinions from others.

You should try to upgade the product maybe there is room for improvement but before launch remember what you learned from the past experience!

You have a product first. I would move forward to something else. Try to find the customer first , then solve their problem with whatever product last.

Each level of growth is a new level of difficulty. Think about how much your heart is into it and how far you want to run

Don't be the guy who quits at halftime. Yeah, the bigwigs stole your thunder, but that's just round one. Reassess, rebrand, and relaunch.
