Lemmy is supposed to distance itself from Reddit. So I don't know, what you are trying to say.
They say it's basically for anything that looks like anything else. Which is correct by the way - I also thought it was only about seeing faces in random things
What do you mean "distance itself"? Then why people from Lemmy try to bring users from Reddit by advertising it as some sort of Reddit 2?
Lemmy is better than Reddit, so the idea is to left Reddit behind. For me it works: I love Lemmy and I trashed my Reddit account.
