Ok who wants recommendations for indie alternatives to EA games?

edit no seriously I am a nerd about this stuff, fire away, I enjoy giving game recommendations so if there is an EA game you really love and this hurts to hear, let me try to ease your pain!

I remember hearing about two Sims-likes that were gaining traction, then one turned out to be ai-filled dogshit. I don't remember what either one was called though. Are you aware of any Sims-likes that are genuinely good, single player only, and not ai trash?

i plan to play the games I love and own still, I just plan to not buy anything new.
