I can't imagine the shock of someone after being out on a Friday night and trying to wobble their way home, only to come across a giant Bugs Bunny on crack in the dark.

On land, their back claws could become an issue.

They have a few roos loose in the top paddock - Aussie euphemism for a person who is somewhere between a bit strange and totally fucking insane.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

The search for a kangaroo on the loose east of Toronto on Friday will resume in the morning, according to an organization that helps people find lost pets in Durham Region.

Janet Grixti, spokesperson for Team Chelsea, said the search has been called off due to the darkness.

"It is not our kangaroo," Preyde told CBC Toronto with a big animal net slung over his shoulder.

"Members attended the scene but were not able to locate the animal and cleared," police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

Preyde said the zoo has contacted the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, the police and Team Chelsea for help.

"Everybody is working with us right now to try and get this animal back into a nice, warm, safe place because that's really what matters most at this point in time," he said.
