I feel PL is really just popular because of shocking refs

[–] Global-Jacket-3973@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Despite Spurs' three losses and this draw, they aren't as bad as they used to be. Injuries have fucked them over big time as is the case with other big six clubs. That Egghead better find a way to bring in at least two defenders next month.

What a game as a neutral

Equalising 3 goals against City at home is insane btw, with so many injuries

PGMOL displaying ~~Occams~~ Hanlon's Razor in full strength week in week out, it's really just incompetence not malice as you can see in the last minute call lmao

[–] brayshizzle@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ange can sit still on my face.

[–] deygar@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Red had a really good game until that one brain fade at the end

[–] mynamemeimme@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Funniest part is Akanji tries diving at the end as if to say make it fair ref go on

[–] Chell_the_assassin@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

City could be on a 10 season unbeaten streak playing against a Spurs side that had been relegated to League One and I'd still fancy Spurs to get a result tbh

[–] ibrahimims@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

When the ref played the advantage on i was like “amazing call” until he ruined it 180 degrees for no reason

[–] LLHallJ@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Each week we reach new and unprecedented levels of Barclays.

[–] egg8@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Such a bad decision from the ref with that advantage, but all those city players should've been booked protesting right?? Should've dished out at least 5

[–] a_guy_named_gai@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Haaland was fuming

[–] GreekCavalier@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Another City Tottenham certified hood classic.

[–] Thewalkingducks1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Gvardiol no card for waist high studs up, no one cares. Bad advantage played, and all of the sudden City robbed.

[–] Thesecondswallow@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The ref seriously blew the whistle then tried to play advantage and then blew it a second time. What the fuck is the state of the refs man.

[–] CasuallySerious1103@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Funny seeing City players clamoring for a pen at the end. Even funnier when you see that refs called a pen against Manchester United a few weeks back for a similar “foul”.

For the record, I don’t think either is worthy of a penalty.

[–] etched_chaos@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

3-3 and we had all our centre-backs unavailable, gotta love it.

[–] sjekky@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Who's the best team City have beat this season? Brighton? Leipzig? Newcastle?

Feels like they're sleepwalking more than a little bit. Anfield, St. James' and White Hart Lane to visit in the second half of the season. And it feels like Arsenal will be a little bit more serious as title contenders this season.

Another amazing result for Ange. Look at the state of that team Spurs have put out. Brilliant stuff.

[–] ParadiseGangster@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Pep was right, this was fun!

[–] BendubzGaming@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Peak comedy, would only have funnier if Richy got a late winner after that ridiculous advantage pullback when Grealish was through

[–] Jazano107@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We’ll never beat spurs. Doesn’t matter how well we play. They score every shot against us

[–] Mick4Audi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Of course we find our finishing boots against City lmao

[–] blublableee@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ref had a shocker there in the end. Nonetheless, you have to wonder what kind of mental block city have that they can't even win against a cb pairing of Davies and Royal.

[–] jfk9514@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

VAR wasnt causing any controversy so the ref decided to take it into his own hands.

[–] Anarchytect1204@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Did anyone apart from Haaland get booked for dissent in the end? It was a clear advantage btw

[–] dame_sansmerci@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Well, I was already down to half a voice thanks to illness and i'm now down to no voice after celebrating that Kulu equaliser. Worth it.

[–] FistThePooper6969@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

City couldn’t handle our 4 fullback back line 😤 👉🗿👈

[–] thelordreptar90@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Being Pep’s bogey team is too funny

[–] okcomput3r@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

People acting like Grealish would have scored from a 40 yard carry and 1v1 anyway

[–] mcho19@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

In a game where Spurs plays 4 FBs and Biss trying too throw away the game, City only scores 3.

Sloppy from City.

[–] comunicadooficial@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Also really nice that Lo Celso is playing well at Spurs now

[–] krakends@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Guardiola and Haaland have to get charged for those protests. If that was Arsenal, Gary Neville and Sky would be talking about Arteta's behavior non-stop for the next week.

[–] Advanced-Silver-5728@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

xG varies from source to source but 0.5xG and getting 3 goals is top shithousery, bravo spurs

[–] Flat_Zebra5959@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just because they don't usually get calls against them doesn't make it not one of the worst calls I've ever seen, the ref literally calls play on then changes his mind. I'd be fuming.

To think we almost had a weekend without "major" ref controversy, what a way to break the streak!

[–] YadMot@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] Thesecondswallow@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I really wanna know what god or demon Spurs worshiped to be able to have this much juju against City. They hit the bar 2 times and missed like 3 sitters lol.

[–] Doexitre@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Loses half the squad, has zero center backs, loses three games in a row only to break it by drawing the best team in the world away

Why do they have to be like this

[–] WallBroad@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Draw away at the treble winners with half the squad missing. Am I dreaming or do I like watching football again?

[–] Simba-xiv@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That ref fucked city so hard 😂😂

[–] FoxOntheRun99@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What a crazy game. Thought it was all over when City got their 3rd but who am I to know the crazy result of this City v Spurs algorithm.

[–] General_Bus4540@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

So fun to see City at third. Enjoying Arsenal at the top until the inevitable January turnaround and us losing 5-0.

[–] bmoviescreamqueen@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If you think about how many injuries Spurs have right now that's a pretty good result when City could have maybe be up by a lot more in first half and squandered the chances.

[–] BadBehaviour613@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ederson vs Onana?

[–] chino17@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

NGL Mateball is very fun to watch

[–] TheBrewkery@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

yall realize ref blew that play dead well before Grealish makes his run. You can see he blows the whistle as soon as Haaland is going backwards. He then has to blow it again once the ball is played which makes it look worse than it was

[–] dreadnough7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The result suits the club I support; but dear god, seeing another stunningly stupid call by Simon Hooper in Spurs' favor really annoyed me.

[–] bmoviescreamqueen@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That was quite the match from an outsider's perspective, it got even better when the crowd got into it.

[–] cbuturk@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

lose vs 3 easier teams and take points of City

literally perfect for Arsenal and Liverpool lmao

[–] LordCommanderCam@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (5 children)

Arsenal fans celebrating as if they won the league, forgetting they bottled like a 10 point lead last year.

Why do you do it to yourselves ? Why do you allow your hopes to go so high and get clowned on when city go above you again?

Remember when everyone was shitting on Tottenham for winning the league in October?

Here is said image of Grealish definitely scoring his 3v1 from the halfway line (I still think it’s a terrible referee decision)
