Looking to have someone who is a highly-skilled web designer and/or developer in London or anywhere else in the UK to create a high-quality website for my new company. I will have some seed investment cash within several weeks, and will be using a bit of that cash to pay someone to do my company website for me.

If anyone has any personal recommendations or suggestions of where to look, do feel free to get in touch with me. Thanks in advance.

My guy u/fugi_tive can help you. He’s a UK dev I know and work with personally. We are both freelancers and we work on websites together sometimes and send each other work. He’s one of the most talented devs I know. Hit him up

Without knowing your specific situation, I'd recommend considering hiring a WordPress designer if you don't need a lot of custom functionality. Just don't get roped into paying for a bunch of monthly services. If you do however need a website or webapp built with some custom functionality or something very specific then it would be worthwhile to get an actual web developer.

I only mention it because stretching your seed funding as far as it can possibly go (within reason) will pay dividends over the life of a business. You can always build a site from scratch later on as you grow and become established.

But does a WordPress site give my potential clients a good image and impression?

Do you need a professuonal studio to helpyou market and design websites? Let me know as im in the drinks business and know a few brand designers that helped launch various drinks comoanies in the UK successfully

Agree with u/Serenity867 here. I you just need website then I suggest go with a WordPress developer. If you need some custom web app, where you want users to login saved data and do their job etc. then hire a developer. WordPress is good enough to make almost any kind of website IMO.
