Hear me out: officiating is notably worse than usual this year, with way more egregiously terrible calls. Is it really likely that suddenly, all these veteran NFL officials forgot how to do their jobs? Or have they been instructed to botch calls to get people talking? Goodell’s #1 job is to make the league money, and every ref botch-job gets everyone talking; more clicks = $$$. Am I the only one who thinks this??
