I guess those companies learned their lesson.
The government is not there to protect you. The justice system is not there to protect you. Police are not there to protect you. They are there to protect money and keep it out of your hands.
Don't believe me? Canada bread used price fixing to screw Canadians out of ~$1.50 per loaf for 16 years! The fine was 50million, that works out to less than $6k per day that the scheme was going on. For a company with 5k employees that is nothing.
That means there's less violations right....right?
Let private businesses inflict whatever suffering they want on their employees?
