Depends. He can always just do the "they're trying to cancel me" pivot towards a right wing audience, which seems to be the solution for these kinds of people in that situation.

If you listen to his podcast he is constantly railing against billionaires. He honestly seems kind of alright. When I heard he was doing a show in Riyadh I swear I had to do a double take.

Not really defending it but those in charge over there allegedly are the most "progressive" ever for the region. Granted that is a very low bar and they still have some very brutal laws from what I understand

Like CK lewis, he can be partially cancelled, but he never truley went away. enough of the manosphere loves him to sustain his depravity. bill burr fans are wrestling with liking him and ditching him.

I guess I’ll just have to take your word for it that all participants understood the context and implications fully. Unfortunately that comes with the side effect of meaning none of the participant could grow or change their positions on the matter because they already have, apparently, all of the underlying knowledge. Maybe.

Same. Someone told me to watch one of his specials and it opened with him punching down on trans folk. Fuck him.
I love his comedy. He hits topics many are too timid to approach. He often comes off, "Oh hell no he ain't goin' there!", and then flips the script, or takes an unexpected turn.
"WOMEN! What the fuck is wrong with these people?!" Then he hits how our expectations clash, how clueless men and women can both be when judging one another's behavior. And he's not afraid to include himself on the dumbass side of any given rant.
At it's heart, that's what comedy is, subverting expectations.
So, I had to explain the joke, comedy death, he's not for you, and that's fine.
BTW, my wife won't watch him, doesn't comment, just doesn't like him. Her English ain't so hot, but I think the man's humor is the issue. 🤷🏻
