3 was the perfect ending and you’ll never get me to watch another.

[–] MadMadBunny@lemmy.ca 29 points 1 month ago (1 children)

But, but… the money grab!?!? Please think of the money grab!

[–] psx_crab@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 month ago

Imma grab that from the bay, and disney can have some of those barnacles in return.

[–] magic_lobster_party@fedia.io 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The Quentin Tarantino opinion. I haven’t watched 4 for the same reason.

[–] MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

4 does another good ending but actually it's it in a place where it should've been hard to do another one. I don't understand how the three of them are back together again.

[–] FerretyFever0@fedia.io 5 points 1 month ago

I agree. I've seen it, but it was just... not all that great.

[–] magic_lobster_party@fedia.io 36 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I wasn’t excited about this, and somehow I’m even less excited now.

[–] piccolo@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Could be worse. Could've been a life action remake...

[–] pinball_wizard@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 month ago

There's still time!

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 18 points 1 month ago

This is the first I’ve heard of it. My initial reaction is JUST LET IT DIE ALREADY

Was the 4th one even worth watching?

[–] Aibo1@ani.social 13 points 1 month ago

I honestly thought it was good. But the canon ending is still Toy Story 3 in my opinion.

[–] thejoker954@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

I know I started it, but for the life of me - I can't remember if I actually finished it.

So I have to say no - it's not worth watching lol.

I watched it and honestly don’t remember much of it now. I loved the first 3 and 4 was quite forgettable.

[–] Flamekebab@piefed.social 3 points 1 month ago

Perhaps a controversial take but I enjoyed it more than the first two. Then again I never really got the hype and I still have my childhood copy of Toy Story on VHS.

[–] Breezy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

4 was my favorite. I had hoped if they were to make 5 then it would revolve around woody and barbie out in the wild doing separated from the rest of the old gang.

[–] call_me_xale@lemmy.zip 15 points 1 month ago

It's just gratuitous at this point.

[–] RickyRigatoni@retrolemmy.com 14 points 1 month ago

a little late to make the "phone bad" toy story content, walter...

[–] whelk@retrolemmy.com 10 points 1 month ago

That WiFi indicator really has me worried about already dated jokes, references, and memes.

Obligatory 3 was the perfect way to end it, stop it, get some help, I don't want this

[–] galoisghost@aussie.zone 10 points 1 month ago

The movie premise sounds like parents ranting about kids screen time

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So is this before 4? Or did Woody get bored being a lost toy?

[–] FerretyFever0@fedia.io 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It doesn't really matter, they just want the free money.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It does though cause I'm watching it for free. Always judge that which you receive for free the hardest.

[–] FerretyFever0@fedia.io 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It doesn't matter what they do with the story. They created a movie that they want to give them money. It is a shameless cash grab, and they know that. There was no real reason to make a movie after the third one. The plot is secondary to what they want from it. There's no real justification to it. But, if you want my guess, I'd say that Bonnie lost some of the toys somehow, and Woody has to help them get home or something.

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 1 points 1 month ago

And thats why we gotta talk shit about it.

[–] ech@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 month ago

Why...? -_- (I know why, but still.)

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Looks like the first Toy Story with something new to say since 2. I might give it a chance... on Disney+...

[–] Railcar8095@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I might also give a chance... But on stremio.

[–] cerebralhawks@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Is Woody on Buzz’s left or his right?

Yea.

That's how selfie cameras work, they usually mirror the image (in software)

On my Pixel it'll mirror it for the view finder (so it's more intuitive to pose for the camera or use it as a mirror), and then save the file unmirrored. There's an option to save mirrored too.
