Abstract art. Whatever you want can “represent” whatever thought or feeling you say it does.

I’m not saying that the work of abstract artists isn’t creative. My point is that most people can’t tell the difference between a Jackson Pollock work and the results of giving a toddler unsupervised access to the paint cabinet.

It was “not only a dismissal, but a dismissal with prejudice, meaning that my client can never be charged again for anything to do with this incident,” says Goetz.

This makes the good news even better.

In my own experience, the internet is best for shocking, short-term nastiness. I’ve rarely met anyone in person who was quite as obnoxious or annoying as a particularly bad hit-and-run online troll.

IRL contact is still the “best” for deeply hurtful, damaging, long-term cruelty.

If you’re gonna sum up an entire culture in a handful of words, well, they could have done worse.

I think it’s a great rule!

To me, the links to alternate communities are essential. They allow you to set restrictions while still maintaining a helpful atmosphere. Sometimes, people have legitimate, good-faith questions, and don’t know where to ask them. Those links help demonstrate a real concern for the users. Well done!

…most recently at a private screening of the film "Melania" documenting First Lady Melania Trump.

I am no fan of Cook, but hasn’t he suffered enough?

At least it’s a pop-up, and not something intended as a permanent business. If it does well enough, though…

Dude. That’s NOT a brag.

I was expecting it to be just another post-apocalyptic drama, and I’ve seen so many mediocre ones that Station 11 wasn’t high on my list. I was very wrong.

Station 11 was well written, well cast, and interesting (if confusing at times).

Just about everyone looks better when they smile. It’s true regardless of gender. I don’t see where sexism enters the equation.

I feel pretty oblivious. What am I missing?

Is it because of the instance they’re posting from, some kind of “award”, or what?
