"issues groveling apology"

Telling the llm that it should apologize doesn't count as groveling. It cannot express how sorry it is because it cannot be sorry.

The fediverse's infatuation with finding any and every possible criticism of AI is draining. In one breath, people will hit you with the "schrodinger's immigrant" quip, and then tell you that AI is completely worthless and unwanted but also somehow too powerful and dangerous.

The original reddit poster is an LLM, please stop circulating this manufactured ragebait.

While that wouldn’t be surprising by any means, how was this determined? The account has edits in their posts and has commented gifs, which AFAIK bot accounts can’t do unless manually taken over by a human. Some of their comments do seem overly affirmative and flowery, like an LLM’s would, but I have only take a cursory glance at the account so far.

They literally admitted it.

Where did you see that? I haven’t taken the time to investigate the account further

If they let a chat bot delete their hard drive, isn't it likely any chat bot sounding comments they make are them humanly copying and pasting from a chat bot? Not necessarily them being a chat bot, by Occam's razor

That’s what I was theorizing as well. Lazy enough to outsource certain thoughts but not the easy thoughts

We warned them. I don't think they will listen now anyway.
