I mean, it's not. It makes fun of the idea of reboots. It's a goofy comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously.
adding comedy actors to the movie will do that.. it's still the same movie being remade.
It's not though. At least read the synopsis.
No kidding.. it is not a reboot but a “reimagining.”

This is the first I've heard of this movie. For a second I thought they were tracking the one from the 90s with Jon Voight and Jennifer Lopez. A random article talking about a movie from 1997 and it's lifetime gross? That is the kind of internet I want, but alas it is not
Re-watched the original for the first time since I was a kid. My favorite part was when

Ice Cube says "Bitch" after killing the anaconda.
I saw it yesterday. It's a fun movie. I'm glad I watched the original Anaconda beforehand. Jack Black plays a similar role as his Be Kind Rewind character. I don't think the framing device can hold sequels, but I guess it works for the Scream movies.
