the court revealed that Epic and Google have struck a new deal that apparently includes “joint product development, joint marketing commitment, joint partnerships.”

  1. What does any of this have to do with Unreal Engine?
  2. If this is a "settlement" that means Timmy is pulling up the ladder he used to win previous cases behind him. I guess that's his prerogative as he invested in it when no one else would, but still kind of a dick move.

“Epic’s technology is used by many companies in the space Google is operating in to train their products, so the ability for Google to use the Unreal Engine more fullsome… sorry, I’m blowing this confidentiality,” Sweeney said.

Use of the word "train" leads me to believe this has to do with the 2-letter money-printing machine, which would explain Timmy's recent defense of it.

Epic used Gemini to power its Darth Vader, so it might be related to AI indeed. To add to that, Epic has introduced an AI chat for Unreal Engine developers, acquired the AI asset tagging tool Loci, and enabled AI for its support system to handle requests before a human operator steps in. I also believe they use AI as a screening tool for its new text chat feature (and maybe its new forums), but I have no proof for this part.

I’m getting a more three-letter vibe.

The slopiest AI and the slopiest engine; finally they could come together.

Well, allow me to be the one to jinx it: What could possibly go wrong?

Nah, it was already a bust when Unreal Engine was on the table.

Still a win for everyone on Android, as Google would have to keep the platform open until 2032.

The only thing I respect about Tim Sweeney is that he has enough money to buy better looks but still looks like that. I mean, yeah, he looks like an insufferable dork/prick but he could afford to look like an insufferable dork/prick with hair, designer clothes and roided physique.
