I'm sure the Wayland folk would love that. I don't use Wayland for content creation reasons (I use XLibre instead), though I'm sure that would be real nice. I know some for X11/XLibre potentially have something like Hidamari (of which I tried for a bit).
wonder if this can be ported to KDE as a wallpaper plugin, might try doing that in the future
