spring is definitely here. the allergy season is on. i miss breathing.

For the first time in my life I'm getting post-nasal drip, presumably as an allergic reaction, and it's awful. Constant light coughing to clear the throat out, and nothing I've tried so far has worked.

welcome to the club. I've had that for the past 15 years, started after living in a very moldy apartment and it does not go away.

What does your doctor(s) say?

I'd be surprised if you removed yourself from that environment, yet still had the reaction. Does that mean that you're permanently over-sensitized to mold in the environment, now?

my workplace has a mold problem, school had mold problem, old workplace had mold problem. at this point i am oversensitive to it, and i can't get away from mold because all buildings here are old as shit.
doctor just basically shrugs and doesn't offer any solutions because there aren't any. they also refuse to acknowledge the mold, saying it's just dust allergy... like ffs there's grass growing from the walls, i know there's fucking mold!

getting another job and hoping they don't have a mold problem there too isn't an option because over 10% of the population here is unemployed, there simply aren't other jobs available.

the symptoms usually start to disappear at the end of yearly vacations (which are 1 month), and when i return it gets waaaay worse for a few weeks. and ofc allergy season also makes it 5x worse.

Geez, I'm sorry to hear all that.

So far I've tried various over-the-counter stuff, and it doesn't help much. About five different pharmaceuticals, but then there's the physical "neti pot" which I still haven't gotten to work, yet. Should probably try that one again...

Thank you.

I can't work out a way to properly cross post from there and it be associated to my account here.
