Beautiful, very very beautiful! Colors and angle match perfectly.

awesome photo! The horizontal and vertical lines form such a strong grid that i hat to zoom in to realize that they were in fact part of the scene.

What gear did you use?

[–] aproposnix@scribe.disroot.org 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Thanks. It was a Fairphone 6 running gCam (modded to run on FP6).

It looks like you chose the perfect time to take photos, the lighting is great

Yeah, it was early morning. I had to wait on that corner for all the cars to pass. Prague is an embarrassment with regards to its addiction to car infrastructure. They should block all traffic in the center imho.

Heh, ironic that I thought this might be Rome? 😅

That’s a very good street to photograph. Good street photography. You could try “People in interesting situations on the street”- photography next!

Looks like Europe but texts are in english, trolley track in the foreground...

Where is it from?

Very nice picture BTW.

Yup, Prague. near Malostranske Namesti

Prague feels like one of the most thoroughly trammed cities, at least among those where I've been. Pretty sure I could get anywhere from the outskirts to the centre by trams.

You know that the UK and Ireland are part of the european continent, yes? /j and /s

Edit: And in touristy areas we are likely using primarily English texts but we also like to use english in general for signs because aesthetic

Ha ha yeah, I don't know why trolleys and that kind of architecture made me so sure of "not UK/Ireland!" Maybe the trolley lines + cobblestones? Who knows.

Very nice picture, an excellent composition!

Doesn't look exactly like UK or Ireland though (or Malta for that matter), does it?

[–] StillAlive@piefed.world 0 points 3 weeks ago

Yep, that's a street.

Prague has certainly one of the most beautiful old towns and that image captures it well. That said, it is always a not so stellar sign if a restaurant has its specialties plastered in English on its exterior... only in English, in a country where English isn't the native tongue.
