After something like, the second season it was painfully obvious that the writers were too scared / being told not to kill the main characters. Homelander had so many opportunities to kill them all and prevent a lot of trouble for himself. Not only him, It just dragged on and on and on...

Agreed, but my take on it is that he's like the Joker, "I don't want to kill you, you're just too much fun." He doesn't see the boys as a threat really until last season, and as much as Homelander enjoys killing I think he enjoys the turmoil the boys cause in his world even more. He's an agent of chaos.

So many seasons it's like they had wrote it with a plan to end it, then got another season and then magically something happens and now there's a new problem for the next season. It was very annoying.

Yeah I agree especially last week's episode was meh. And can someone explain why 5 sessions they keep focusing on The Deep? It fucking sucks as a character and care nothing for him.
