I'mma be honest. If I'm shopping and see one of these things "working", I'm dropping everything I've selected for purchase where I stand and walking out. Nothing I can do, but vote with my wallet... so I will do that.
And here I can't get a job because apparently every GM or hiring manager goes on vacation the moment I go for an interview.

I mean I got one, and it was for a place a friend of mine works for already, so...
But when I texted him a couple days later, he said the GM was actually out of town.
In 18 months I have had 2 interviews out of hundreds of jobs applied, one of which ghosted me after the interview and the other relisted the job the next day…

rtfa. they're doing a trial at distribution centers. this is mostly training for the AI at this point. there's no way they're putting these things to work in stores yet. one Flipper Zero incident away from losing a half a million dollars.

I was going to read the article but but jfc the ads. I decided to go watch ads on my computer instead. Soon I'm going to go drive in my car and look at ads. I will also play YouTube and watch ads. When I get home, I play to do a little ad surfing on the internet. After that I'm going to pick the best ads I saw and buy their products. Then I'm going to use their products while getting to view the ads associated with them.
Humans are soon not needed anymore in 2030.
