zionists are just fucking nazis and they always have been. israel must be dissolved and denazified, those who have participated in the genocides must be put on trial

until then, boycotts divestments and sanctions. not a penny of aid nor trade to israel.

I wonder what the zionist version of Argentina would be... Madagascar after all?

[–] favoredponcho@lemmy.zip 0 points 5 days ago

What does Madagascar have to do with it?

[–] theherk@lemmy.world 27 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I don’t know… I think they’re pretty genocidal.

Like 7 more? I’m closer to like 42. Or 50. That’s a nice even number.

I think the dark truth underpinning geopolitics right now is that a 3rd world war needs to happen, and Israel, America, and Russia all need to lose in it.

We let Trump lead us down too many dark alleys and now we are part of this new global axis of evil.

The bad guys need to get their asses kicked so we can start the cycle over and in another 100 years we end up right back in hell, needing to purge evil from seats of power again.

Imagine if we stopped the cycle after this one…

Counter point: no.

We don't need a war for that. Least of which a world war. If you want a war, you can keep it on your own property. Don't let it spread to my peaceful corner of the planet.

I'm not putting money on a no-war outcome, but I still think it's preferable. There's a small group of ultra rich people, who'll only grow stronger with war. It's that exact group that need to know fear. And that group of western oligarchs doesn't include innocent bystanders.

Yeah the problem with war is it hurts the wrong people.

Now if we had Ebola that only affects billionaires? That’s more like it.

[–] BigDanishGuy@sh.itjust.works 2 points 5 days ago

That solution rhymes with both pitch fork and "stabby stabby"

Who do you think is going to do the ass kicking? American isn't Nazi Germany - they didn't come to facism through calamity and poverty. The US got there through wealth concentration, scapegoating, and cumulative cultural rot. But the US is also coming to facism from a position of immense wealth and power. Nobody is coming to save the US from themselves, because no one else can.

Putting the Nazi in Ashkenazi for more than 6 decades.

[–] theparadox@lemmy.world 18 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Trust me - I'm not the guy who brings this up very often - but Ashkenazi or Jewish does not mean Zionist or Israeli. I get that it's a cute joke but that actually feels more antisemitic to me than simply critical of the state of Israel or Zionists.

[–] sns@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Israel is the cause of antisemitism, not the victim.

[–] theparadox@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

The actions of the state of Israel definitely work, intentionally or unintentionally, to increase antisemitism across the globe. Equating criticism of Isreal, which is actively committing Genocide, among other illegal atrocities in the region, with antisemitism is absurd. Using that logic to shield their actions from criticism is, frankly, a crime against Jewish people everywhere as it reduces the seriousness and sincerity of any legitimate claims of actual antisemitism.

However, I don't think that's particularly relevant to my comment. Ashkenazi is an ancestry - not a state, not a religion, not a tradition. It conveys no information beyond who your parents are and who their parents were and where they all came from. Discrimination based on such things is just racism.

Antisemitism began centuries before there was Zionism or the State of Israel.

But yeah, committing genocide and raping prisoners is bad PR.
