I watched Hokum and it’s easily the best horror movie of the year so far

Although I've seen it a bajillion times, I introduced my friend to Alien (1979) for the first time time. She dug it.

The Booksellers (2019)

It's a documentary about rare book dealers. It was a fun watch and even though some of the people do ramble on it portrays it in a passionate way and is kinda heartwarming.

Project Hail Mary. For adapting a very long book, I thought they did a pretty good job. Still over two hours long though.

I don't think it will have the staying power some critics are saying. Too superficial, too American monoculture to last long, I think.

Watched Project Hail Mary as well - didn't read the book before and knew nothing about the plot beforehand - I was astonished, haven't seen such a good movie in a long time! I really enjoyed the almost 3h without once grabbing my phone, this is something lol

I also thought it was very good. However, I wanted it to be an hour longer, and include more of the detail from the book.
