Spotify has been pissing me off recently. Repeated pop up (internal) ads, and now this. Are there any alternatives that don't require selfhosting?

Cherry on the top: The new widget doesn't work.

Spotify enshittification is so bad. I came here cos i wanted to vent that they've added a delay on volume changes, making you waste about 5 to 10 more seconds every time you change the volume on PC. Didn't want to make my own post just to vent about it so this seems like the right place

I don't think that's possible since this is a YouTube Music client rather than a Spotify one.

I'm sorry, didn't see if it got a widget. Anyway there's Metrolist (which is basically a fork (the same app but modified)) that got 4 widgets.

I use Apple Music on my phone and YouTube Music in my car and they work fine for me. No ads and so far nothing AI. YMMV.
