is anyone else a little off-put by the recent trend of tryna reclaim homophobic/transphobic slurs or am I too far down the wrong rabbit hole?

Maybe transsexual isn't a slur itself but the site you can buy this shirt from also heavily promotes reclaiming faggot
Reclaiming it is exactly what people need to do.
a friend asked me the other day if there was another word for it other then "trans-woman" because it sounded so much like a slur to his ears
