Squirrels are taking a few but I think the thorns are doing their job. 3rd year for this bush if I remember right.

Supposedly some painted rocks can help deter some animals if you put them out before the actual berries. I've had luck with a water source keeping birds off my tomatoes. Apparently they were just thirsty. Those berries look delicious!

The thorns on these are so much worse than the red raspberries, but they do taste delicious! We have some growing wild behind our house. I call it the burglar deterrent.

So far the thorns seem to be deterring the squirrels!
