Quick question: why the fuck do you want to gift 20GB of erotic books to your mom???

[–] Patnou@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I got an empty USB drive and she pester;s me for books like I listed. And thought might as well put it to good use.

[–] unknownuserunknownlocation@kbin.earth 18 points 6 days ago (1 children)

This... Almost makes it weirder.

I wonder what the fuck you're going to get dad for his big day.

[–] KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 6 days ago

They’re metronoming between a blow up doll and a “real doll”.

[–] BitchPeas@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

So I ADORE R. Lee Smith's "Heat".

Good luck mom.

Get In My Swamp.

Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like.

There are sequels.

Sarah's stuff is HOT! Agree with this if she's looking for erotica not romance stories.

[–] SarahFromOz@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

Thanks so much!

[–] mavu@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 6 days ago

sooo... somewhere between 10.000 and 40.000 books?

Not sure there are that many different ones in this category, even if you consider it's popularity.

“I need some lingerie, it’s for my mom I swear!”

[–] cRazi_man@europe.pub 38 points 1 week ago (1 children)

"Looking for erotic literature to gift to my mom" is such an insane reason. Makes me think it can only be true because no one would make that up.

[–] banause@feddit.org 3 points 1 week ago

Or they wanted you to believe that.

Check

Seconding Tanith Lee. She's amazing and her work is very enjoyable

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Scumbag Neil Gaiman stole all his best stuff from her.

Fuck that guy!

[–] Rivermoonwolf@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I used to be a fan. He can rot with all the other garbage scum

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 1 points 6 days ago

Hear, hear!

[–] CultLeader4Hire@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I do not like Ann Rice, I forgot which one I read but it was ok except the nonstop spanking like it was 3/4th of the book

[–] BitchPeas@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Sounds like you just don't like spanking.

[–] RBWells@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

What does she like in other sorts of fiction?

I am a mom & the Kushiel series, main character a sexual masochist, love those books so much. Not sure they are a reasonable thing to spring on someone unprepared but man are they good.

On the more typical romantasy stuff, those Empyreon books are very good. I also liked One Dark Window & its sequel.

In general erotica, I'm not so familiar with it. But that is the word to use if looking for stories with a lot of sex, stories about sex.

lol. No. Dislikes most porn that I know of (hasn't really come up in conversations...thank god) she likes the written word and the imagery it describes and not just this guy stuck his pee pee into a hole slapped an ass and that was it. Something more of a story stuff with sex. I don't know if I am describing it right because we have different tastes. I read War and Peace and for example she likes Slyvia Day, Olivia Cunning, Lorelie James and others along that line. That was the last ones I had to pir......get for her. :)

[–] nocturne@slrpnk.net 6 points 1 week ago

TIL Manga is porn.

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 3 points 1 week ago

Not my field but what about the Outlander series?

[–] uKale@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

If she is at all into fantasy, there are some nice and spicy romantasy series out there.

[–] scoobford@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 week ago

I like Rawnie Sabor, but most of their works are queer.

[–] JigglySackles@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Any of the books written by Ali Hazelwood. Also look for Elle Kennedy, Piper Rayne, Laura Thalassa, Stephanie Archer, Laura Ferguson, Lisa Lang Blakeney, BK Borison, Brynne Weaver, Gina L Maxwell, Sara Cate, Tessa Bailey, Monty Jay, Julie Soto, Mariana Zapata (Queen of slowburn).

For fantasy romance try Keri Lake, Katie Robert, Rebecca Yarros, Callie Hart, Sarah J Maas, Sen Lin Yu, Rachel Gillig.

That should get you a lot of books
