To anyone who hasn't played this; I'm a huge adventure game fan, been playing them my whole life, and I couldn't stand this game.

The protagonist is insanely unlikable (and not in a good way), and the puzzles weren't terribly fun in my opinion.

It has nice art, and the world is cool, but just beware that it's very much a marmite sorta game (love it or hate it).

Yeah, I liked some of their previous games (Edna bricht aus & Harvey's neue Augen), but Deponia not so much

In Deponia, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump, in which the crotchety Rufus ekes out his sorry existence.

Did someone say https://rufus.ie/en/

Also the original name of the Demon Core

It's a fun premise but there are game breaking bugs. Be sure to make multiple saves within close proximity of each other. I ended up uninstalling after realizing I pulled a pin out of a map too early and couldn't interact with it later to set off explosives.

The current maintainers are 'fixing' the bugs by directing complaining players on Steam to saves on their website that skip them. I'm kind of surprised that's even allowed.
