I didnt really understand just how useless the rosy glasses outlook were about this topic until I saw this video about the topic: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0KQYNtPl7V4&t=2874s&pp=ygUUYmFkZW1wYW5hZGEgYmFkIG5ld3M%3D and yes Its a long video but if you can somehow survive thisbvideo without seeking out therapy after? ...I would question if youre human. Seriously.

And THAT is why Ill never buy a car or have kids. Im not hastening the armageddon or destroying a child's life. I feel sorry for those who already have kids....

How about a little something to lower your spirits, the physiological effects from rising CO2 include acute cognitive decline. Fortunately have not noticed cognitive decline in any human populations so far.

You clearly haven't been to the US.

Leaded gasoline had a big impact https://today.duke.edu/2022/03/lead-exposure-last-century-shrunk-iq-scores-half-americans

CO2 I imagine very similar lower individual impact but way more widespread.

Sometimes I think the discussions here are due to cognitive gap instead of ideological differences.

Sometimes they are. But at least it isn't reddit or facebook. 😆

You joke but in just a few years there won't be even teachers available, soon Gen Zs will be the only workforce in Education: idiots teaching idiots.

You mean bloodstream CO2, if not what other form?

It might just be slow enough that we don't notice. We know that increased CO₂ indoors leads to poorer performance from studies. A widely discussed concern is that outdoor CO₂ is increasing and that this could raise indoor baseline levels, meaning buildings might reach cognitively relevant concentrations more easily unless ventilation improves. The issue is not that today’s outdoor CO₂ levels are directly toxic; rather, higher outdoor concentrations reduce the “headroom” between outdoor air and indoor levels generated by occupants.

Wonder if inline carbon capture is gonna become a thing in residential hvac
